Through mind-mapping, today I was able to expand my ideas from the death of the subculture (an article I read during the Fashion Publication project) towards my relationship with my own fashion taste. I often feel a wave of confusion and anxiety when trying to boil down my whole self to one outfit and although I absolutely love clothes and styling, I feel so much pressure to get it right and for others to think “she’s got that right.”

I want to step back from the styling process by relinquish control and giving it to someone else. I honestly couldn’t think of much worse than letting someone dress me so this will definitely be a challenge!

Aim :

To download sims 4 again
Try and create an avatar that actually looks like me!
Allow others to play around and dress me (tell them before that I want them to create an outfit that reflects me - whether that’s my agenda, ethos or personality, I don’t mind)

I would like to translate the looks onto my body or abstract them through illustration. I think today, I could have started by asking more people their opinion of me and just describing what they would style me in - I might do this through social media in the next couple of days (would be interesting as they can’t see my physical body)
